West Cork LCDC – Community Development Initiative 2018

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE 2018

Cork County Council is currently inviting applications from
Community and Voluntary groups under the Community
Development Initiative 2018.
The €1.5M fund is an opportunity for community groups
to access funding for capital projects to enhance facilities
in their areas or to kick-start, advance or complete their
projects.
Funded by Cork County Council in association with their
Local Community Development Committees (LCDCs) and
in co-operation with Local Development Companies the
grant ranges from €1,000 to a maximum of €25,000.

Eligible Projects
Examples of eligible capital expenditure under the
Programme include:
• Youth Clubs or facilities
• Sports / Recreation Facilities
• Development and Improvements to community centres
and common areas
• Once off maintenance of Premises (does not include
regular maintenance)
• Upgrade Community amenities/equipment
• Energy efficiency type projects

Comhar na nOileán CTR, is looking for a dynamic and capable person to take up a position as Chief Executive Officer of the Integrated Local Development Group for the offshore islands. The position is based on the island of Inis Oírr, Oileáin Árann, Co. Galway.
